Payment Information

Depending on the complexity of the treatment involved, fees can vary. For an initial consultation and examination appointment, we can provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan and fee estimate that is customised to suit your needs and budget. As a general guide, an initial examination and two x-rays for early problem detection would cost approximately $120.

HICAPS With our HICAPS terminal linked to over 46 private health funds, you can claim your benefits instantly with a swipe of your health fund card. This means no lining up in long queues, waiting to get your money back – all you have to pay is the credit balance (the difference between our charged fee and the health fund benefit) on the day of treatment.

We are also a health fund provider for MBF (Bupa), THU, HCF and Noble Dentist. If you are a member of one of the above-mentioned health funds, you will be able to receive quality treatment with a discounted fee.

Medicare If you have a chronic medical condition, you might be eligible for Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Scheme (EPC). EPC entitles you $4250 worth of dental treatment over a period of two years. To give back to the community, we also BULK BILL all patients with EPC – that means your money is stretched even further! To check if you are eligible for EPC, please speak to your medical practitioner.

We also accept patients with a Medicare Teen Dental Voucher. The voucher is distributed to eligible teenagers aged 12-17 on an annual basis, entitling them to $158.95 of preventive dental treatment.

Department of Veteran Affair card holder We bulk bill DVA card holders for most dental treatments (treatment requiring external laboratory work may have a small overhead to cover for the laboratory fees). We claim directly from DVA so you don’t have to pay upfront.

Payment methods Payment on the day of treatment is required. We have an EFTPOS facility on site, and we accept all bank cards, VISA cards and Mastercards. Cheques are also accepted. Please ask our friendly staff for more information.

Tax benefit As an individual or family, you will be entitled to a 20% tax deduction for medical/dental expenses exceeding $2,060 annually. That is, you can claim back 20 cents for every 1 dollar you spend, over $2,060 per financial year, for health-related medical/dental bills. Speak to your accountant if you are unsure of how this net medical expense rebate applies to you.
